Daniel Orona
President/CEO
Daniel Orona founder of Durabuild Construction Inc started his first company at age 18, his first company specialized in plaster and stucco… He went to ITT Technical Institute where he got his degree in the computer of applied science. He worked as a computer networks engineer and IT Manager for seven years. This gave him experience in the corporate world.
As years past Daniel Orona got interested in doing general construction as he would enjoy seeing previous projects, he had worked on being built.
He focused on learning the skills to form a general construction business. He worked with close friends that specialized in general construction and got mentored and trained from them for many years until he felt that he had gained enough experience to follow one of his goals to form a general construction business. Daniel got his NM General Contractors license (GB98) and founded Durabuild Construction, Inc. in 2017.

Although Daniel represents more than 20 years of experience of his own, he has assembled a team of skilled construction industry professionals who embrace his company culture, of uncompromised customer service and quality craftsmanship. His qualified team accounts for over 40 years of experience in design and general construction.
As a general construction business, Daniel Orona and Durabuild Construction, Inc. offer their clients a partner who will facilitate the entire construction process, including pre-construction concerns, design, development of budgets, and production schedules, management of subcontractors, and the finalization of all projects on the most time cost-effective schedule as possible.

Andres Arzate
Vice President
Andres oversees all essential field employees, as well as construction schedules, to ensure that all projects contracted with Durabuild Construction Inc. are completed on time, on budget, and with the highest quality available in the industry.
Andres has developed in the area of construction for the last 28 years. Andres has been an integral part of the construction in New Mexico being involved in countless residential and commercial construction projects.

Scott Irving
Designer/Builder
Scott received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Design from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA in June of 1980. During high school and college summers, he worked for Civil Engineering/Land surveying firms in Simi Valley and San Luis Obispo, CA. Upon graduation he began work as a Project Architect for first Gary Dean Zimmer and then Burton Ward’s firms in Westlake Village, CA.
The economic woes of the early 8o’s moved Scott horizontally and he spent 6 years prior to his move to Santa Fe in 1988 working as a Mechanical Engineer in the Aerospace industry where he ran a department responsible for both Military Radar and Commercial Satellite components and subsystems.
Scott relocated to Santa Fe, NM in 1988, taking a job as a Project Architect in Sharon Wood’s Firm (the author of the “Santa Fe Style”) where he converted her design operation to CAD. Scott acquired a NM General Contractor’s license in 1991 and began a Design/Build business he operated until 2015. He built over 100 custom homes in the surrounding area prior to closing the business.
Scott began consulting with Durabuild Construction in 2017. He began partnering with the company for Design/Build projects in 2019 and came formally on board in 2020. We recently appointed Scott our Designer/Builder and are diligently working to establish Durabuild Construction Inc. as one of the pre-eminent Design/Build Firms in Northern New Mexico.
Maxfield Scott
Chief Operating Officer
Maxfield Scott became Chief Operating Officer at Durabuild in 2023. Max brings the experience of an entrepreneur and small business owner with a background in the fine arts. He embodies integrity, ingenuity, creativity, and a strong drive. By applying a fine arts perspective to construction, he explores how individuals engage with the arrangement of spaces. With over 15 years of experience in the industry of new construction and renovation, Maxfield has the expertise and creativity needed to bring visions to life from the ground up.
